I hope you’ve taken time to think about what you really want to ensure 2017 is your best year yet!

Let’s do a quick recap of Steps 1 to 4 and see how we did.

Step 1 – Did you buy or make sure you have a yellow notepad, or any other notepad?

Did you write a list of everything that would make 2017 your best year yet, as suggested in Step 3?  This is the critical step. You must decide what you want to in order to make 2017 your best year yet. If you don’t know where you’re going how are you going to get there?

Why write it down? The fascinating study conducted on the 1979 Harvard MBA program, where the 3% who had written goals were earning, on average ten year later, ten time more than the remaining 97%, 13% of whom had unwritten goals and 87% had no goals at all!

Remember, you’re planning a year of your life, possibly something you’ve never done before. I’m sure you know successful and unsuccessful people, and hear the unsuccessful people complain and winging that they’re not as lucky as Joe Blogs who is successful.

What they don’t know or haven’t taken into consideration is what Joe might do differently to be successful, Joe has a vision, written it down, visualises his success, which is the reason he’s successful!

I cannot stress enough the importance of visualisation, it’s the key to success. Begin with the end in mind, you must visualise 2017 as listed in your yellow notebook AS IF it’s already happened. Did you know Madonna visualised herself singing on stage in front of 1,000’s of people. We will delve more into visualisation as we need to do a couple of steps first!

Step 4 I asked you in you to read your list of what would make 2017 your best year yet aloud every day. Did you do that?

You must make these steps as habitual as cleaning your teeth or feeding your pet!

So, Step 5….

If you did everything above, you have a yellow notebook where you’ve defined what will make 2017 your best year yet that you read aloud every day!

Now, I want you to get specific. For example, if you want to meet the love of your life. Define the details, are they tall, slim, attractive, intelligent, loving, affectionate, sexy, honest, reliable, loyal, available, the list is endless and ever growing. When you go out on a date you might notice something else you want to add to your list!

Write it down on a new page headed My Ideal Partner, or what evers good for you.

Leave a few pages and get specific around another area that will make 2017 your best year yet until you’ve covered everything on your list.

So, has anything I’ve asked you to do so far been hard?

Of course not and Step 4 is just as easy peasy!

I want you to read your list aloud EVERY DAY until the next step.

This might sound silly and even feel silly when you do it but trust me, this is an incredibly powerful step.

Step 5 is coming this Friday….

Throughout theses steps I am sharing powerful tools and techniques to enable you to make this year your best year yet. I will share these with you as we move through these steps.

The ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if’ is a powerful tool that helps you let in the things you have been asking for. When you say or think I want this or that to happen that hasn’t happened yet you’re activating the vibration of what you want as well as the absence of what you want, so nothing changes.

Whereas, if you say or think wouldn’t it be nice if (insert what you want) you’re activating a more positive, expectant vibration, focusing on what you want whist being soft and easy.

When you play the ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if’ game look for things that make you feel better. There is always a way out of every situation. Out of habit most people continue to focus on the ‘lack’ perspective until they eventually find themselves where it appears there are no more choices.  As you look for evidence of what’s going well, as well as what makes you feel good, you will tune yourself to the vibrations of those things and those kinds of good-feeling experiences will dominate your life.

Whenever you play this game and you trust that everything else will come into alignment, IT WILL!

Here’s some examples:

  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I get an interview at….
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I had a really productive day at work
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I attract more clients in my business
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if the traffic is light and I arrive on time
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I meet the man of my dreams this year
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I felt appreciated by….

Do you feel hows gentle it feels to say and think? Better still, write it down in your yellow notebook, you can look for evidence its working!

I want you to write a list of everything you want to make 2017 your best year yet in your yellow notepad.

Ask: What do I really, really want!?

Dream! Pretend you have a magic wand and can create whatever you want, what would it be?

New love?

Better relationships?

New career?

New car?

Live somewhere different?

Vacation in an exotic location?

Get bold, be creative!

In your minds eye, go to December 2017 and create a movie of your best year yet. What do you see, hear, feel? What’s going on around you? Ensure YOU’RE in the movie.

Then, write it down in your yellow notebook.

Tiny Tippy Toe Steps to Make 2017

Planning for your best year yet starts by becoming aware of and changing your thought patterns, including unconscious thoughts, beliefs and attitudes. Putting in place new, positive habits that move you towards what you want. You’ll also need to learn to use your emotions to empower you, boost your confidence and achieve success in every area of your life.

During this month, I’ll share powerful and simple tools and techniques to help you overcome negative beliefs that have been holding you back. I’ve used these tools and techniques in my own life to attract clients in my business, my ideal body, a lovely family, friends and home. I practice what I preach.

I am going to start by asking you a couple of questions:

  • Have you ever planned for a special day out or a vacation?
  • Have you ever planned for a wedding or other important personal or family event?

I know you’ve answered YES to at least one of the above questions! So now we know you’ve planned something, we are going to ‘plan’ to make 2017 your best year yet!

Ponder that statement you are about to plan the best year of your life! Have you ever done that before?

My bet is that your answer to that question was NO and that’s exactly why you are guaranteed success, you’ve never done what you are about to do.

Here’s another reason you can count on succeeding. You will be bringing Universal forces to your aid. You’ll learn more about this if you tune in over the following months!

So, the first step to planning for 2017 to be your best year yet is easy peasy! You’re going to be amazed how easy this first step is!  Basically, purchase a yellow notepad, unless you already own one of course!!  Do whatever it takes, go to the shop, if you can’t find one, buy yellow paper and make one!

The Power of Habits

581769_10152005957968707_734704320_nI recently read the best way to become the best you is through your habits.

According to Phillippa Lally, a health psychology researcher at University College London, it takes anywhere from 18 days to 8 months to form a new habit. Taken from an article by James Clear, author who states at the end of his article:

However long it takes, the only way to get to 8 months is to start, so forget about the number and focus on doing the work!

So, here’s the daily success habits I’m putting in place this month:

1.Start my day with a pint of hot lemon water

2.Meditate and visualise my future self

3.State affirmations and express gratitude whilst trampolining

4.Look at my vision board

5.Set success intentions for the day ahead

6.Manage my state by monitoring my thoughts and reaching for a better feeling thought as I move through my day

7.Use the ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if’ technique when needed

8.End my day writing in my journal. Ponder what happened today that I can learn from and how I could have dealt with it better. What happened I appreciate, can celebrate and at least 2 successes, however small!

Stop Dreaming & Start Doing!

It’s the last month of the first quarter of the year and I’m wondering where you are in relation to where you want to be. Are you achieving the goals you set? Have you set any goals!? If not, what’s stopping you?

If you don’t know where you’re going how are you going to get there?

The key to creating the life you want is to get clear around what you really, really want to achieve. Be absolutely clear about what you want and that what you want is in alignment with who you really are.

I use the Wheel of Life with my clients to get really clear around what they want to achieve in every area of their life, then elicit their values.

Another way is to ponder the following questions:

  • What is my deepest desire?
  • What would I like to accomplish in my life?
  • What would I like to accomplish this year? In my personal\financial\business\spiritual life?
  • Where would I like to be in 5 years?
  • Where would I like to be in 20 years?
  • What am I good at?

The thing is, we get what we focus on. So, if you haven’t got a long term future vision how are you going to focus on it? All you need is a piece of paper, a pen and some time:

1. Do whatever it takes to feel incredible as your attitude will determine your success.

2. Get specific about what is important to you in each area of your life.  What do you really want?  What will that give you?  Your reason will motivate you to take the steps towards achieving your goal.

3. Write down the goals you want to achieve that will make the biggest difference in your life.

4. In your minds eye, move forward to a time when you’ve achieved your goal and ask yourself ‘How am I going to feel when I’ve achieved this goal?’  When I’ve achieved this goal will it really make a difference?

How are you feeling, excited?  If not go back to step 2 and rethink, maybe you need to choose bigger or smarter goal.

5. Our beliefs create our reality and a belief is just a thought.  They determine our decisions which determine our actions which equal our results.  What belief do you need to have to achieve your goal?

6. Create an affirmation around your belief for each goal.  Write in the present tense as if it’s already happened with an attitude of gratitude.  For instance ‘It’s the end of 2017 and I’m grateful I am now earning £4000 a month’ or ‘its 30th November 2017 and I’m grateful I have ten paying clients a month’.  Listen for any resistance and tailor your affirmation or goal accordingly.

7. Take ACTION! Repeat your affirmations daily with feeling, visualise your life as if you’ve achieved your goal, what will be going on around you, what will you see, hear, feel?  Who is around you?  Add yourself to the picture, add colour, sounds then ask ‘What inspired action am I prepared to take today, tomorrow, next week, month to move me closer to my goal?’ Then DO IT!

New Month New Habits

WEIGHEDThe only way to get a different body is to do something different, put in place new habits and make those habits so habitual we do them without thinking.  Like the habit of setting the alarm, cleaning our teeth or feeding the dog.

What better time than the first of the month to do just that!  So, what new habits are you prepared to place to ensure you eat and exercise to get the body we want?

As absolutely everything is about mindset, we also need to start choosing words and thoughts in alignment with the body we want.  The first step is to become aware when our thoughts are focusing on the body we DON’T want and ask What do I want instead? Then we think I want to be in my ideal fit body  rather than  I don’t want to gain weight.

My Create Your Ideal Body Workbook provides tools and techniques to ensure you know what you want and focus on it.  It’s a 40 day workbook, structured to help put new habits in place, one of which is to begin each day focusing on a positive, healthy wellness affirmation, which you can use to ensure you focus your thoughts on what you want throughout your day.

The day ends focusing on gratitude, appreciation and success, one of which could be doing your daily habits!

The speed at which we get what we’re focusing our thoughts on is aligned with  the level of doubt.  The lower the doubt the quicker we get what we want.  One way of alleviating doubt is to look for evidence that the body we want, or anything that makes us feel good, is showing up in our life.

I find it motivating to tick off my habits on a Habits Chart as I do them.  I’m measuring, celebrating, anchoring in, focusing on and recording evidence of my success, focusing on what I want and alleviating any doubt, as remember, everything, absolutely everything is about mindset!!

Easy to Make Split Pea Soup

yellow split peaHomemade soups are cost effective, packed with nutrients from fresh and wholesome ingredients, low in fat so aid weight loss.

How does soup aid weight loss?

The blender does the first step in the digestive process, chewing.  Chewing your food longer, until it’s liquid in your mouth will assist weight loss, health and longevity as you will eat less, digest and assimilate nutrients more effectively as well as mitigate toxins and allergies from food, which are important for weight loss and longevity.

Yellow Split Pea soup is really easy to make and can be served hot or chilled for a deliciously refreshing soup for a hot summer’s day! It looks good so is appealing to the eye with it’s pretty garnish of cucumber, spring onion,  yoghurt and mint.

INGREDIENTS – serves 4 | 283 Kcal – 71 Kcal per serving

  • 8 0z yellow split peas
  • 2 1/4 pints water
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • Fresh green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

GARNISH:

  • 1/2 small cucumber
  • 3 spring onions
  • 3 fl ozs natural yoghurt
  • Mint leaves

1. Rinse Yellow Split Peas under running water, checking for and removing any grit, then drain

2.In large saucepan, bring split peas to the boil with the water, turmeric, cumin, coriander and chilli.  Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently for 1-1 1/2 hours until tender

3.Add the lemon juice and blend if you prefer a thinner consistency

4.Dice cucumber, slice spring onions and add with a swirl of yoghurt and some mint, garnish just before serving

TIPS:

  • If the soup is too thick, thin it down with water or more lemon juice
  • Make a batch and freeze in daily portions for a healthy meal within minutes

Top Tips To Manage Eating Out This Valentine

valentineAre you on a weight loss journey, counting the calories or generally eat healthily and dreading being taken out tonight by the love of your life or a new partner!?

When we’re feeling anxious we can behave impulsively, acting on our instincts we’re spurred into mindless action. This generally plays out in addictive behaviours, one of which is spending anxious energy with food or alcohol. How many of us, in times of stress have found ourselves munching through a bar of chocolate, a whole pizza or too much alcohol! When we’re done with the binge we still feel terrible about whatever was making us feel anxious.

So. Tip no. 1 is to mindfully take a step back and become aware of what’s going on around you so you can make good decision around food and alcohol and ask: Do I really need this?

2. If you’re eating out and know where you’re going, check out the menu on line before you go and decide what you’re going to eat

3. Choose a starter as a main

4. Order first to ensure your Valentine’s choices don’t sway you!

5. Order a salad with your meal, it fills up your plate with minimal calories

6. Ask for sauces and dressings on the side

7. If you have alcohol choose gin or vodka with tonic, If you like wine, choose champagne, its less calorific!

8. Drink a glass or two of water in between alcoholic drinks

9. Drink water anyway!

10. Take a deep breath and become aware of your mindset whilst you’re eating and drinking. Eating and drinking alcohol when you feel upset or anxious will have  a different impact on your digestion and mindset as eating and drinking with gratitude, appreciation and love

11. So. Feel grateful for what you’re about to devour! Appreciate the aesthetics, the smells, imagine how it’s going to taste, how nourished you’re going to feel when you’ve eaten it, the lovely person sitting with you!

12. Put down your knife and fork whilst you’re eating and take time to chew your food until it’s a liquid, focus on and take time to appreciate the different flavours and textures

13. Push food around your plate as it makes it look like you’re eating

Have a lovely Valentine Day and get back to your usual eating and drinking habits tomorrow morning, rather than thinking I’ve blown it, got a sociable weekend ahead so I’ll get back to normal next Monday!  By then the damage is done and next Monday generally never comes!

7 Steps to Turn Up Your Love Vibration

valentineWhen you’re driving down the road you glance at your speedometer to see how fast you’re going.  If you feel you’re going too fast or slow, you mentally imagine the needle of the gauge where you want it to be, then adjust the accelerator until the speed gauge matches your mental image.

Where you’re going in your Love life depends on what you believe you deserve as well as where you’re willing and able to put your attention, energy and focus, known as your Love Vibration.

The Lovometer enables you to get a reading of where you’re currently giving your attention, energy and focus in your Love life, as well as mentally project forward into the immediate future and imagine what your Love life could look like.

So, here’s 7 Steps to Turn Up Your Love Vibration

1. Using the lovometer template below, draw an arrow to indicate where you’re currently putting your attention, energy and focus on Love most of the time by asking: How do I feel when I think about my Love life most of the time?  For example, if you’re without a partner, draw a line closer to the Absent end of the dial.

2. Decide where you believe you can go.  If you feel badly about your Love life most of the time, you’re probably unable to believe Committed Relationship.  Whereas, you might be able to go to Dating.

3. Using a different coloured pen, draw an arrow to indicate what you want in your Love life in the foreseeable future.

4. Work on closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be, in the above example, between Absent and Dating.  Start looking for examples in your life that supports the truth of your goal to start Dating. Someone you like smile at you in the coffee shop, someone starts interacting with you online. If you’re unable to find evidence straight away, keep looking for evidence until your dominant vibration and belief is Dating. 

5. Take ACTION to close the gap. Go places where you’ll meet new people, take up a new interest, join an internet dating site.

6. It’s all about where you put your attention, energy and focus.  When you find yourself focusing on what you DON’T want you’ll lower your vibration.  STOP and ask: What do I want instead? to RESET your vibration upwards and shift your Lovometer reading to the right!

7. It truly is if you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right ~ Henry Ford. 

If you look for love feeling a lack of confidence and insecure, that’s what you’ll attract, a partner who lacks confidence and is insecure, so, you’re right and all you’ll have is two broken people trying to get from each other what the other doesn’t have to give. Whereas, if you think you can attract a loving supportive partner, you’re right, and you’ll know that by the people you start attracting into your life.
